| The variety displayed below is the Lesser Spotted Dogfish, (you can also find the Greater Spotted Dogfish and the Blackmouth Dogfish. The LSD is brown with some darker brown spots and may sometimes even exhibit these darker spots in an almost stripey fashion. Small dorsal fin which is set quite a way down the back and a long thin tail with a distinctive membrane. |
Can quite easily be fished from the shore as they live in shallow waters but can just be as easily fished from an inshore boat. Will take mackerel strips, shrimps, crabs and even small fish. |
