Mullet

Identification Methods
Two dorsal and an anal fin, the first dorsal fin having 4 spines bound by membrane. The mullet has a small head, small eyes and is blue/green grey in colour. The mullet has dark lines running from it's back down along the sides fading into grey then white/silver at the belly. Whilst the mullet is an extremely hard fighting fish they are not, by nature predators, feeding largely on algae and plankton. Indigestible material is filtered out. They will mainly be caught from the shore and love to feed around harbours and estuaries.
