The Dawross system can be found draining into Ballynakill Harbour and consists of three loughs Lough Abbey, Pollacappul and Kylemore Lough.

This river is 4 miles in length and contains good runs of Spring salmon, Sea trout and Grilse. The access to this river is good with nice clean banks to fish from.

Season:

Salmon fishing is from February 1st - September 30th, Sea trout are caught during June 1st - September 30, while Brown trout are caught from February 15th - October 12th.
