Waterway

This is a mixed fishery containing good Salmon and Trout together with shoals of Roach and Dace. This water is controlled by the Cappoquin Coarse Angling Club and coarse anglers must note that fishing is restricted to the area between the Trageen (Glenribbon Bridge) up to the lay by on the Youghal road.

All year around.

All legal methods. No live bait with pike fishing.

This is Ireland\'s fourth longest river and contains excellent fishing for Salmon. The Brown trout are also taken here, but they tend to be rather small. There is a size limit for Salmon and Trout which is seven inches, and fishing is not permitted from the Mill Dam at Clondulance or for 30 yards below it.

Salmon and Sea trout are taken during February 1st - September 30th while Brown trout fishing is from February 15th - September 30th.

Fly and spoon with some parts allowing worms and shrimp.
