The river Clodiagh joins the river Suir down from Two Fords Bridge near Thurles.

Good stocks of Brown trout are contained in this river, together with a late run of Salmon also being found. The best of the Brown trout can be caught from Rahan town to the junction off the Tullamore river, while the Salmon which usually arrive in July are taken downriver off Rahan town. Fishing here is limited for Trout on its lower reaches. Fishing is controlled on this water by the Thurles Holycross Ballycamus Angling Association. The fishing on these waters are restricted to fly fishing only with a size limit of 250 mm and a bag limit of six trout per bag.

Salmon and Brown trout fishing is between March 01st - September 30th.
