This is an average size stretch which is mostly overgrown. Great runs of Salmon and Sea trout are caught here late in the season. Five draft nets can be found operating at the mouth of the river, together with one at Castlemaine. Grilse are fished here and enter the river in June. Sea trout are available in July. |
